The Rain

I've come to the conclusion that winter here is the rainy season.  When I first got here one of the girls I worked with said, "oh, it doesn't rain that much."  Yeah, right.  I'm pretty sure out of the five months I've been here it's rained at least every other week.  Today it was overcast and I checked on weather.com where it said it was supposed to be sunny later on and have only a 20% chance of rain.  Weather.com most definitely lied and it told me it's supposed to rain here for the next week.  That's happened several times before now too.  Today I had two tutoring classes and on the way to my first one it didn't rain, but as I left it was.  I was walking to the bus stop and the bottoms of my jeans were getting soaked.  I could only laugh seeing as I still had to walk a bit to the bus stop and the rain was picking up.  By the time I got to the stop I was freezing and I couldn't feel my toes.  The stop had a cover so I didn't have to stand in the rain, but I was freezing so as I was listening to my ipod I started singing and sort of dancing since I had to wait twenty minutes for the bus to come.  Plus, this place is all the way out in the middle of nowhere Jerez so it's not like anybody would be walking by, especially in the rain.  The bus finally came, but then I had to walk to my next class.  I have to cross through the feria, which is like a parks ground, and it was like a game trying to jump all the puddles.  By this time by gym shoes, jeans, and my socks are soaking wet and I'm freezing.  When my class ended it was still raining and it was SO COLD.  I couldn't feel my toes and now my legs were freezing.  My jeans were so wet at the bottom that the weight of it was pulling them down.  As soon as I got home I took my shoes off and my socks were so wet they were leaving wet spots on the floor.  Stupid rain.  I can't wait til it stops.
